Laura Palumbo-Hanson, a Vice President of Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty, has been a top-producing real estate agent for over thirty years. As a native New-Englander and resident of Cambridge, Laura has been serving the Cambridge, Somerville and surrounding areas with unparalleled expertise since 1985. With a successful business flourishing from repeat clientele and referrals, Laura’s career history involves over 300 residential real estate transactions. From luxury estates to entry-level condominiums, Laura has garnered extensive knowledge in the marketing and sales of a wide variety of properties.
The diligence and integrity foundational to Laura’s business is readily apparent in her commitment to the community. She is the chairman of the Greater Boston Association of REALTORS® Grievance & Ethics committee and is a member of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board Professional Standards Committee, as well as the Board of Mediators. Laura’s professionalism and ability to best assist her clients has no limitation. Known for her meticulous attention to detail and ability to “hear” what people want, Laura has earned and maintains numerous real estate designations such as Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) and Credited Buyer Representative (CBR). In 2020, as recognition of her over thirty years of membership and her volunteer service within the industry, Laura was awarded the National Association of Realtors Emeritus Member status and the Greater Boston Association of Realtors Life Member status.
With what spare time she has outside her real estate career, Laura pursues her passion for cooking and has been a recipe tester for Cook's Illustrated Magazine. She if a founding member of the fundraising arm of the Cambridge Community of Real Estate Professionals, a past member of the Board of Directors for Ability Plus, and is involved with numerous other charities and schools including the MS Society, The Kelly Brush Foundation, and Williams College.
